Nottingham based Ferocious Dog have released their new single ‘Slow Motion Suicide’, taken from their album ‘From Without’.
The single immediately transports you back to the hedonistic 80’s, where social commentary mixed with political unrest and ‘Slow Motion Suicide’ is the grown up version of this time. With touches of punk, folk and plenty of rock and roll throughout, it comes as no surprise to find the band includes Fruitbat AKA Les Carter from Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine, as influences from that period of excellent music are stamped all over this single. However this isn’t a nostalgic throwback or pale imitation as Ferocious Dog sound modern and as relevant now, as it chronicles the fallout from that turbulent time in history. This single is the voice of the new working class hero.
The band will also embarking on a number of dates across the UK:

Creating their own take on Traditional Celtic folk, Ferocious Dog takes the traditional instruments; fiddles, whistles, mandolins and mixes them up with a bit of, raw, buzz saw rock n’ roll attitude. With their unique, aggressive yet feel-good music they tear up venues across the country often bringing their faithful Hell Hounds along for the ride. They played Glastonbury 2015, which was a major success and they pulled the 3rd biggest crowd of the whole weekend on the Avalon Stage. They also made history by becoming the only unsigned act to ever sell out the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, not only once but twice.
