London based 4 piece Joy Room have just released their first single ‘Late At Night’ and has launched them onto the music scene with an explosion of raw energy.
The jangly riff that kicks off ‘Late At Night’ opens to a delicious bassline, as the vocals rip though the verse before the chorus rises to a maelstrom of rock. This an anthemic mantra that delights the ears.
The band only formed this year, although they “all went to school together and bonded over a mutual love for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and watching The Last Waltz”, and are already making waves with their impressive sound, having been picked up for radio plays by Amazing Radio and featuring on BBC Introducing in London, on just the strength of their excellent debut single.
Joy Room are definitely in the crop of emerging bands that are producing fresh and exciting music and are one of the bands to watch out for.
