Leeds based 4 piece Colour Of Spring have released their new single ‘Grey’.
With crashing guitars, this extravaganza of shoegaze has touches of indie over distorted and melodic vocals. The drums pound out a primal beat and the rhythm section gels the lush soundscape together. Although the title of the song is ‘Grey’, the track is a burst of colourful tones.
Describing themselves as “when Pavement met Slowdive and Slacker-Shoegaze”, Colour Of Spring take 80’s genres such as C86, Shoegaze and Neo Psychedelia and a shared love of bands like My Bloody Valentine and The Cure, to create a sound that mixes melodic elements with a darker twist. Having received praise from the likes of NME, Line Of Best Fit, BBC Introducing featuring their debut single ‘Honey & Skin’, and the recent premiere of ‘Grey’ on Louder Than War, the band are generating a buzz with their second track and their impressive layers of sound.
Colour Of Spring are:
