Radkey have announced today that they will return to the UK for a full UK tour in October and November this year to play tracks from their debut album ‘Dark Black Makeup’, scheduled for release on Littleman Records on August 21st.
The band have also shared their brand new single ‘Love Spills’ as well as a video, which is “a song about an evil villain type character and his dreams of terrorizing the city that he loves,” explains Isaiah Radke.
‘Dark Black Makeup’ is the culmination of these three young men’s unconventional lives to date. It is, they say, an album concerned with “jealousy, regret, love, obsession, death, insecurity, and sadistic, evil people – the kind of things that make you feel uneasy”. As Isaiah elaborates: “There’s a real dark streak to this album; we’re inspired by the movies of Stanley Kubrick and if you pay attention you might find some of the lyrics uncomfortable to listen to. A lot of these are what I would call ‘fuck love’ songs.”
The Missouri trio will also play live sets at Reading & Leeds Festival, 2 record store dates, and a one-off show at the Old Blue Last with special guests on Tuesday 1st September. Tickets for this low-key show and the ‘Dark Black Makeup’ UK tour will be on sale now and can be purchased from http://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/radkey-tickets
