Demob Happy will be releasing a new single ‘Wash It Down’, which is due for release on August 14th via SO Recordings. The band have also just released a new music video for the track as well.
Following their critically acclaimed ‘Succubus’ single and Young & Numb EP, Brighton’s rising garage rock force Demob Happy assert themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting new bands with ‘Wash It Down’, the roaring first single to be taken from their forthcoming debut album.
With lyrical ideals rooted in the firm rejection of, “trust fund rockers who don’t wanna upset daddy’s profits” churning out “lowest common denominator weekend-lifestyle yolo garbage pop”, the music video sees Demob Happy venturing to new-fangled and mind-mulching psychedelic territories. “It’s about some cosmic lizard wizards brewing up Dream Soda syrup as the televisual sex machine sedates our frontal lobes,” frontman Matt Marcantonio explains.
Following a recent stint through Europe supporting Death From Above 1979, Demob Happy will soon announce a UK headline tour for December 2015. Until then, catch them live on the dates below:
August 15th – Platzhirsch Festival, Duisburg, Germany
September 5th – The Clapham Grand, London w/ UNKLE (Eddie Temple Morris’ Psychedelia Smithsonian)
September 23rd – Loppen, Copenhagen, Denmark
