Milo McMahon

Montreal based Milo McMahon has released his new EP ‘Who I Knew’.

The EP blend aspects of alt folk, surf core, and screef rock. With delicate melodies, the EP has an infectious tone in the opening track ‘All Or Nothing’, as the guitars play to an almost funky beat. ‘Caveman’ which is the new single to be taken from the EP, has a retro sound to the track, and is delivered in a slightly more lo-fi way. ‘Breeze’ once again returns to an upbeat tone, with a hazy style to the track. With a heart-on-my-sleeve tone to the lyrics, the song ‘Who I Knew’ is a gentle soundscape to begin with before the track rises into a pulsating beat, ending the 4 track EP in a crescendo of harmonies.

Having made the full-time commitment by moving from Dublin to Toronto, eventually settling in Montreal, Milo McMahon brings with him a transatlantic sound, with influences from across the pond coming to the fore on this record. The EP is his third release following the critically acclaimed ‘Big City Hustle LP’ and ‘Gone Too Long’.

The EP will be supported by a Canadian and European tour in the near future.
