South Wales based music promotion and record label Pity My Brain is proud to announce the line up for their annual winter festival, a weekend that showcases some of the premium South Wales based rock community alongside emerging big-hitters from around the world.
The event will take place at the EVI in Church Street Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent on the weekend of November 25/26.
Friday night sees a co-headline appearance from Pennsylavania’s Crobot, who will be touring in support of latest album ‘Welcome to Fat City’, and London based progressive psyche band Purson who recently released their second album ‘Desire’s Magic Theatre’ to much acclaim.
Special guest slots on the Friday go to hotly tipped northerners Hands off Gretel, plus Swansea’s The Texas Flood and Blaenau Gwent based Stay Voiceless.
Saturday is headlined by Wales’ own Henry’s Funeral Shoe with special guest spots being shared between Hastings’ self proclaimed “grease rock bastards” The Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovel and former Heaven’s Basement frontman Aaron Buchanan and his new outfit Aaron Buchanan & the Cult Classics. The remainder of the bill made up by Cardiff psyche kings Lacertilia, Aberdare’s Dead Shed Jokers, Swansea’s Estuary Blacks and Ebbw Vale’s very own Among the Dead.
With a real ale festival and vinyl stalls, as well as acoustic sets tba, Brain Freeze 2016 promises to be a spectacular celebration of rock music with a truly current and relevant edge.
Tickets for the weekend are available from the EVI box office, or on-line from www.pitymybrain.bigcartel.com priced at £25. Day tickets will be made available nearer the date (if available) at £15 each. If you are quick there are still a handful of super value early bird weekend tickets available for just £20 direct from the EVI box office.
Having attended the first Brain Freeze festival last year, it was an excellent weekend of music so if you attend just one festival this year, make sure it is this one as once again Pity My Brain have organised a killer line up to ensure this is going to be your favourite festival of the year!
