Australian band Copywrite have released a new video for ‘Philophobia’, the first single to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘A Heart of Glass’, which is set for release on 11 August.
The new album was recorded at their homes in Australia with their shared collection of audio gear and microphones and having started recording the album when they were still in high school, the record is a personal journey from their inception, as the album was only completed a year after they left school.
The band have describe the meaning behind the song: “Philophobia” is a taboo but common fear of love. I found it interesting that it was always about the pain after the relationship, as I had always feared about losing myself to the point it would have to hurt. It seemed everyone who fell in love that I knew completely changed; almost accepting less of themselves and abandoning their ambitions, dying off to simply having a love of their life which I knew was so naive at such an age.”
