Los Angeles based Runners have released their debut single ‘Up Against The Wall’, which is taken from their self-titled EP.
‘Up Against The Wall’ is an indie-rock anthem with a grooving rhythm and an infectious beat as the vocals glide over the crisp guitars, to make this a sonic earworm that is hard to get out of your head once you have heard the track. As this is the debut single from the band, expect to hear a lot more of them in the future.
Runners formed in 2014, with band members Kyle Buckley, Nicholas Caceres, Renzo Bravo, Ryan Wood, and Chris Wood. They describe their influences as varied and a writing style which is a process of evolution as it is usually born out of a simple idea, basic harmonies, and a rough melody outline. Their debut single certainly takes all these elements and builds upon this to produce a very catchy sound.
