Brighton based Death Ape Disco, formed in 2011 or 8000BC depending which version you believe on their Facebook page, have been gaining a lot of interest and with their music full of riff-laden rock along with great vocals and harmonies, it is easy to see why especially with release of their brilliant ‘Supervolcano’ in 2013.

Malvern in Worcestershire isn’t always the first town that springs to mind when thinking of bands that have made an impact in the world of music. Admittedly there was that pop wannabe clone in a music talent contest and I use the word talent with some sarcasm, a few years back but I along with some of residents of the town would probably rather gloss over that fact. However that is all about to change with a new band Nuns of the Tundra.

Kyshera are a band that refuse to be defined by comparison or convention, are determined to set the agenda on their terms and both of their previous albums have the ability to make you sit up and listen to what they are about. A modern band that still believes in intelligent lyrics, something that hasn’t been seen for a number of years since the major record companies decided the world should be full of insipid music.
