US based VALLEYHILL have just released their 4 track EP ‘Battlelines’.
From the opening track ‘Fences’ which is an anthem of a song with a catchy chorus that stays with you long after it has been played, this is an EP full of impressive sounding music. With darker sounding vocals over a heavier rhythm on ‘Keep Your Head Up’ that rises into a crescendo of sound, to the slower temp on ‘Soldier’, all the tracks have an immense sound to them. Final track ‘Derecho’ has more of that signature VALLEYHILL sound with another big chorus as well as pounding drums, and great sounding harmonies playing the track out. With its catchy hooks throughout, this is one EP you are going to want to hear.
